I’m thrilled to be making my Albuquerque directorial debut at The Vortex Theatre.
I was drawn to this play not only because Antigone is one of the earliest representations of a woman speaking truth to power, but also because the voices of reason in this play are characters who hold identities that are still marginalized today. I am approaching this production through lenses of disability justice, accessibility, communal mourning, and feminine rage.
